She is down after 21 attempts. Probably about 8 more than we would have liked, but she's annoying and has buggy tank mechanics. Atleast she wasn't as easy as Kargath. A welcome change of difficulty from heroic.
Speaking of heroic, we cleared that in ~6.5 hours last week. Didn't take screenshots cause well... it wasn't really progression.
Onto the next.
It has been 613 days of Warlords. We still have 6 weeks to go but our first breath of fresh air arrives tomorrow.
I want to give a big shout out to everyone on the raid roster. We sold HFC for over 5 months. We haven't had a break, and now we finally drop to 1 raid night for the next 6 weeks for mount sales. We will also be giving some mounts away (stay tuned to our Twitter).
After 6 months of roster improvement I can say that we are leagues ahead of the Nascent that killed Mythic Archimonde in January. We have players getting 99th percentile parses on fights we 2-3 carry. Our kill times still beat other guilds with 0 carries.
We now have Felsteel mounts for our entire roster (minus the 3 new guys).
In Legion we will push the limits of 9-hour raiding. I look forward to the competition on Emerald Dream (even if they raid more)!
He is finally dead. We have raided for nearly 10 months straight without a break. We only started mythics after reforming Nascent in February of last year. We played behind this entire expansion. We never gave up. We never broke our 9 hour raid week. I knew it was possible to see all the content high-end raiding has to offer without spending large amounts of time, and we proved that this expansion.
I was ready to write this a week ago, but we as a raid group needed to learn a few more things first. Even with an ilvl bump you can't half-ass the mechanics. You can't not DPS the right targets. You can't waste a battle rez. Having said that, even a week late, I'm proud of what we have accomplished and how far we have come. Finishing at US 182 is an incredible feat. We beat out many more established guilds and many that raid more hours.
I like to believe we operate a lot differently from other guilds with our open feedback policy, completely performance driven raid roster, and...
Our kill was very clean. This fight is a combination of tuning (tyrant) and execution (xhul). We also did not break our raid schedule to do it. 9 hours per week. Still the most efficient guild on the server. We nearly had this a week ago, but a 6% wipe isn't actually close if you're stumbling through the final phase. Shout out to the guilds that don't hide their logs. Recruiting a talented mage. Also recruiting talent in general for Legion.
This is the shittiest fight in this expansion. Why? Because you have to cheese everything amidst a gigantic cluster fuck. We had 0 mages and 1 rogue. What a waste of time. Also shout out to Anova and On Cooldown for killing Tyrant before the lolvalor buff. We are recruiting MAGES!
